  • How do I Apply?

    1) If you are a Malaysian passport holder going to the UK for less then 6 months, you do not need to apply for a visit visa unless you have had any previous immigration problems However you will still need to satisfy the immigration official upon arrival in the UK that you are a genuine visitor.

    2) If you are a non-Malaysian without any long term visa status in Malaysia you should wait until you return to your home country or the country where you are normally resident in order to make your application.

    3) If you are a third country national with a long term Malaysian visa, then you can make your application in Kuala Lumpur. However, please note that there may be some delay in processing your application as the British High Commission may need to refer one of your documentation to your country of origin/ habitual residence.Malaysian Citizens are not visa nationals and do not therefore require prior entry clearance if going to the UK for less than six months.

However if you have had any previous immigration problems it is advised to apply for Entry Clearance.

Use the Do I need a visa? Questionnaire on the UK Border Agency website to see if you need a visa.

Before you decide to apply for a particular application please make sure you familiarize yourself with the Immigration Rules

FOR ALL APPLICANTS FOR A UNITED KINGDOM VISA

Visa cheats who try to gain access to the UK by using false documents or deception now face a ten year ban. Applicants who have previously breached UK immigration laws by staying in the UK illegally or working without permission will also be banned from coming to the UK.

    Important information for visa applicants

    Online Appointments

Groups of 6 or more applicants

If you are unable to apply online you will need to fill in a visa application form. The form is free of charge.
